Horrible, horrible puppy mills!

This just makes me sick.  Every day I see an ad in the local newspaper for a pet shop with “a great selection of healthy pups” — I want to call them up and scream at them that they are contributing to a horrible industry, picket the store, make a lot of noise, etc.  It’s not really my style though, at least not any more.  These days, I am all about educating the public instead of making a scene in it.  Therefore, I give you:  http://www.stoppuppymills.org/

Insurance means protection. NOT!

Two stories in the local news got my attention this week.  First, a landscaper was brutally mauled by a bunch of German Shepherds when his crew arrived at a customer’s residence.  The landscapers claimed they had arranged their arrival time with the homeowners in advance, but it happened to be the same time the dogs were normally loose in the yard.  Oops.
